Summer is almost over and before we know it, school will be back in session. This summer was extra special for us since it is the last one before our oldest starts kindergarten. The fun part about him starting school is that we will begin our journey of homeschooling (more on that later)! I wanted to share a recipe for one of our favorite summer treats that I get asked about constantly when I share on Instagram or Facebook. You could honestly indulge in this year round if you love lemonade as much as I do! Keep reading to see how to make super easy frozen strawberry lemonade slushies the entire family will love.
frozen strawberry lemonade
What you’ll need:
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 can frozen lemonade concentrate
- 2-3 cups ice
- 1-2 cups water
- Blender (this is the one I use)
This recipe couldn’t get any easier! Add in all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until everything is well mixed and the ice is finely chopped. That’s it! You can add a little more water if it tastes a too tart.
You can also fill large ice trays or small jars with the mixture and freeze them for about an hour. Once frozen, pull them out and eat them like Hawaiian shaved ice! They make the perfect little dessert for parties or pool days! This recipe is kid (and hubby) approved!
